Kazakh Americans have complete or partial Kazakh ancestry. Kazakhs migrated to the United States after World War II. Kazakhs have also come from Turkey and China. Many Kazakhs have married non-Kazakhs.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Since the ending of the Soviet Union, more Kazakhs have come to live in America. Some are engineers or scientists. Kazakh orphans have also been adopted in America. One Kazakh man opened a Kazakh restaurant in New York City.

There are Kazakh Associations in America dealing with cultural and other needs of the Kazakh people living in the country. The Kazakhs in the USA speak Kazakh, Russian and English.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Most are atheists or Muslims. Kazakhs tend to identify with Islam but they are mostly secularized.

What Are Their Needs?

Kazakhs in the US have the chance to hear and respond to the gospel. They need spiritual discernment, and American Christians need to reach out to them.

Pray that God will give the Kazakh Muslims dreams and visions leading them to Jesus Christ.
Pray that God will show Kazakhs that Jesus Christ is real and is who he says he is.
Pray for a “Book of Acts” type of church planting among the Kazakhs in the US.
