Introduction / History

The Kuli live in Oriya and are a scheduled caste. They speak, read and write in Oriya. They are not vegetarians and eat rice as a cereal.

The Kuli are usually monogamous. Divorce is allowed if agreed to by their community. The dead are buried. On the death of the father, sons inherit the property with the oldest son getting the most and becoming in charge of the home.

The Kuli are land owners. Their main work is weaving and cultivation. They have a traditional and regional council to look after them. Family planning is used by them.

Prayer Points

* Scripture Prayers for the Kuli in India.

* Pray that Indian Christians lead them to Jesus Christ.
* Pray that the council leaders come to Jesus Christ and lead others to Him.
