Introduction / History

Kla-Dan is a language spoken by a tribe living in Guinea and Cote d Ivoire. Their language is not taught in school. Instead, they teach French, a widespread trade language in West Africa.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Kla-Dan speakers have their own forms of music, sung in their language. They have vibrant dancing, and drums are prominent. They love their festivals, and storytelling plays a vital role in their oral culture.

They are subsistence farmers who grow enough for their own consumption and some to trade in the marketplace. Rice, cassava, and maize are their primary crops. They also sell handmade goods in the markets.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Kla-Dan speakers can be Muslim or Christian, but, either way, traditional religion taints these beliefs.

What Are Their Needs?

These families need access to clean water and reliable medical care. They also need a reliable source of water for their crops. Drought is a real possibility for these farmers.

Prayer Items

Pray for Jesus Christ to rise in their hearts, far above anyone else.
Pray for them to understand and embrace the supremacy of Christ.
Pray for those who are Muslim to have dreams and visions of the risen savior.
Pray that soon Kla-Dan disciples will disciple others.
