Introduction / History

The Kamda people group live in six villages in the Nuba Mountains in the State of South Kordofan Sudan. They are related to the Tulusi tribe; they speak the Tulusi language.


What Are Their Lives Like?

They grow sorghum and sesame. They also raise cattle, sheep and goats for meat and milk. Khamda children attend three different primary schools located in the area.


What Are Their Beliefs?

The Kamda people are entirely Muslim and they identify with this religion.


What Are Their Needs?

During a recent survey, the chief asked for support in building secondary schools, improving water sources, and establishing health facilities.
