The Chhimba people of Pakistan speak Punjabi. They converted to Islam from Hinduism. They claim to be from the powerful Rajput community. There are Hindus from this community, but they live in northern India, not Pakistan.
The Chhimba people live in Pakistans' Sindh and Punjab Provinces. Some of the Chhimba people live in India or Manchester, England.
Though some are still tailors like their ancestors, many live in rural parts of Pakistan's fertile Punjab State. They own land. Those who live in urban centers are usually small business owners.
In Pakistan, the Chhimba people are solidly Muslim. We know of no Christian believers among them. There are some Hindus Chhimbas, but few live in Pakistan.
The Chhimba people need the opportunity to hear about Christ and His Kingdom. It will be very difficult for anyone to take the gospel to them given the violent reaction that usually happens in Pakistan when people share the gospel.
There are no Chhimba believers in Pakistan. Pray that this will soon change.
Pray for the Lord to pave the way for the Chhimba people to hear that Christ is Lord.
Pray for Chhimba hearts to be prepared to accept the challenge of embracing the One who is the way, the truth, and the life.
Pray for a movement to Christ among the Chhimba people of Pakistan.
