Introduction / History

Austrians began coming to live more in America in the latter part of the nineteenth century. Just before the second World War, Jews came from Austria to live in America. Other Austrians have come since but recently it has lessened as Austria is a modern country.

The Austrians live in New York, California, Florida, New Jersey and other places in America. They speak English and German.

The Austrians have had problems in America in the past with them being looked on as Germans, due to the Wars. They are Catholic by religion but as in other western countries more have become secular too.

The Austrians like meat--especially pork. There are skilled and professional workers among them.

Prayer Points

* Pray that the American and Austrian Christians will lead the other Austrians to Jesus Christ.
* Pray that the secularists will through the orderly way of creation and by other means also, realize there is a Creator and that Jesus Christ is the way to salvation.
