Introduction / History

The Rehar are a scheduled caste of India who live in the state of Himachal Pradesh. They speak Gadiali and other local languages of Himachal Pradesh. They are not vegetarians and eat wheat, maize and rice as cereals.

The Rehar make ornaments of base metals but now their main work is agriculture. Hinduism is their religion. They worship family and village gods too. They have several clans related to their ancestry.

The Rehar believe in education and also modern medicines but they do not like to use family planning.
