They are subsistence farmers and trappers. They live on very little income, which mainly comes from selling animals they trap. They have a low standard of health and educational levels are equally low.
South of Djaposten, going to the Dja River south of Lomie. They are found in many small villages along seasonally-passable roads.
They are nominally monotheistic, but functionally politheistic, since they consider that God is distant and that the important sources of blessings and curses are their living relatives.
They have the Word of God but need to learn to read it and meditate upon it.
* Scripture Prayers for the Nzime in Cameroon.
They need to be delivered from:
1. fear of sorcery
2. an inherited blood covenant binding them to the Baka pygmies
3. a desire to resist the mandate to exercise dominion over the animals (which they do not domesticate in the usual sense)
4. a desire to avoid tending the earth in order to raise crops
5. alcoholism.
