The Benyadu Land Dayak is a people group that lives in northern Kalimantan in Indonesia.
The Benyadu Land Dyaks practice slash and burn farming. The system has worked well for them, except in times (2015 for example) when forest fires have polluted the air in Indonesia. They often grow rice on hillsides. They use natural means rather than chemical pesticides to keep away pests. For example, they grow a certain yellow flower near their rice patties. Insects go after the flowers rather than the rice. Fishing and hunting supplement their diets, but farming is their main activity.
Though there is some Christian influence among them, the Land Dyaks mainly adhere to traditional ethnic religion.
The Benyadu Land Dayak people need better medical and educational opportunities.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers who can teach the Benyadu Land Dayak better ways to farm.
Pray for Benyadu Land Dayak disciples who will make more disciples.
Pray for a hunger for truth and righteous spirituality among them.
