The Moji people also go by Mongghul or Tu. Traditionally they were nomadic herders, but today they are settled farmers. They live in China’s Qinghai, Gansu, and Sichuan provinces.
The Moji people are farmers and livestock herders. They raise horses, sheep and yaks.
The Moji have their own religious practices. They have their own unique Fire Festival which involves lighting a large bonfire and praying for good health.
The Moji people are in the process of integrating socially with the Han Chinese majority. They want to preserve their way of life despite the onslaught of globalization. They need economic development.
Pray for the Moji culture to be renewed and enhanced by a work of the Holy Spirit and shaped into a God-centered and God-honoring mold.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move among their family and community leaders to seek his face and enjoy his blessings.
Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers who will be compelled to nurture a disciple making movement among the Moji people.
Pray that soon the Moji people will have faith that will lead them to live honorable lives that will draw others to the savior.
Pray for spiritual discernment and a hunger for true spirituality.
