The Northern Tutchone are an Indigenous Athabaskan-speaking people of northwestern Canada who have traditionally lived throughout the interior of the Yukon. Their homeland includes areas associated with the communities of Mayo, Carmacks, Pelly Crossing, Stewart Crossing, White River, and surrounding regions of the Yukon River watershed. Many communities are also working to preserve their language and cultural heritage. Continued support for language learning, youth mentorship, and cultural education can help ensure that future generations remain connected to their history and identity. Spiritually, there is a need for ongoing discipleship, strong biblical teaching, and the development of mature Christian leaders who can encourage believers within their own communities.
