There are a at least four Atta languages, all of which are closely related. There is little known about the Southern Atta, a tribe that might not be around in 100 years. They are also known as the Faire Atta people.
Cagayan Province, especially the municipality of Faire-Rizal, is where the Southern Attas live. They live along the Cagayan River.
The Southern Atta people live in a fertile land where they practice agriculture. They grow corn, rice and tobacco. Their lifestyle is simple by Filipino standards.
The Southern Atta people have their own ethnic religion. Ethnic religions are a broad category of religious beliefs and practices linked with the adherents' ethnicity. Conversion typically equates to cultural assimilation to the ethnic group, so their communities are often hostile towards anyone who turns from their traditional ways.
The Southern Atta people need someone who cares about them to help them adjust to a rapidly changing world that does not allow for tribal peoples to keep good land.
* Pray that the Southern Atta people will have a spiritual hunger.
* Pray that the Southern Atta leaders will look to Jesus to show them the way to adjust to all the changes around them.
* Pray for a Disciple-Making movement among the Southern Atta people.
