The Bhat Brahmins living in Bangladesh are a very small minority of the population. Most live in the southern portion of the country, near the Bay of Bengal where they are involved in agriculture.

They are usually vegetarians. Almost all Hindus participate in yearly celebrations like Holi, the festival of colors and the start of spring / Diwali, the festival of lights / Navratri, the celebration of autumn / and Rama Navami, Rama's birthday.

The greatest need facing the Bhat Brahmins is for a spiritual awakening. There are no known followers of Christ among them.
