German Swiss is a German dialect far different than the others. It is not intelligible to Germans in Germany.
No matter where they live, the German Swiss have their own way of doing things. They are extremely punctual and well-organized. They love rules that bring order to their work world. Yet they are very guarded about whom they will allow to come close; and most are known to be very private.
The German Swiss can be Roman Catholic or Protestant. A church is a place to get married or buried, but it has little effect on their worldview. They view the world through secular lenses. One can say they are “Christianized” though that is less so for those who live in France or Liechtenstein.
The German Swiss need to allow Jesus Christ to transform their lives and their families.
