Saterfriesisch, a dialect of Frisian, is one of the smallest living languages in Western Europe. It is spoken by the Saterfriesen people who are defined by this language. Their tiny homeland is in northwestern Germany.
The Saterfriesen people love to drink hot tea sweetened with rock sugar. Because of the natural beauty of their land, there is a great tourist industry. They are viewed as “exotic” by many because of their different language.
Being a Frisian people, they celebrate Frisian holidays where they come together for their own music, dance, and folk tales.
Like in the rest of Germany, the Saterfriesens are mostly Roman Catholic or Lutheran. They have a Catholic majority.
Saterfriesens need the Holy Spirit to do a powerful work in their churches, giving them a greater commitment to Jesus Christ.
Pray for revival in Saterfriesen churches leading them to experience the joy and the peace of the Lord.
Pray that soon Saterfriesens will be discipling others who need to know the ways of Jesus.
Pray for this tiny group to make a huge impact on the world through gospel work.
