Introduction / History

A well-dressed man at the front of a classroom scans his tired audience. Most of them have worked all day and some look like they are falling asleep. He's looking for a volunteer. Finally, a timid man walks to the front of the room, eyes downcast. He asks the volunteer, "Would you be interested in purchasing some inexpensive real estate and selling it later for a healthy profit?" The timid man smiles broadly and makes eye contact with the instructor. "Yes!" he answers. "Would anyone else here like to do that?" Every hand shoots up. He now has their full attention. "Using the concepts in this class, over 600 people have purchased over 650 million dollars of real estate. They have made millions of rupees, and not one of them has lost money."

What are Their Lives Like?

Turiq Jaiswal is the well-dressed instructor. Jaiswal is the personal name of a sub-group of the Bania people. Many of them are successful businessmen and wealthy investors. However, Jaiswals are sometimes stereotyped negatively as shady businessmen, like the man described in the first paragraph.

What are Their Beliefs?

The majority of Jaiswals are Hindus who have not heard about the riches that God has stored up for them in heaven, if they will turn their lives over to the Lord.

Prayer Points

* Pray they will hear about the greatest deal of all time: salvation through Jesus Christ.
* Pray they will invest in the lives of others by spreading the gospel.
