Choose your path

Two ways to participate. Both essential.

The FPG ADOPT process needs adopters who pray, learn, and engage — and facilitating organizations already on the field who can connect with them.

individuals · small groups · churches · organizations · networks

Commit to one Frontier People Group.

Pray regularly, learn their world, and engage with mission organizations or networks already working among them. There is no fee — the commitment is your prayer and persistence.

You're already on the field. Connect with adopters.

If your organization or network has current or potential work among Frontier People Groups, register the FPGs you can facilitate adoption for — and we'll connect you with adopters committed to praying and partnering with you.

  • Provide quarterly prayer updates / field reports
  • Optionally offer resources, training, or service ops
  • Get matched with adopters of your FPGs
Register as a facilitator

Not sure? If you're an organization with current or potential FPG work, the facilitator path is what you're looking for. Everyone else, start with adoption.

What this is about

Adoption is a long-term commitment to one people group.

People Group Adoption connects you with the mission work happening among Frontier People Groups.

This is more than signing up to pray for a few months. It's a sustained commitment to see real progress toward the gospel among Frontier People Groups.

Your adoption includes:
  • Information about barriers to the gospel
  • Progress reports from the ground (when available)
  • Prayer guidance
  • Partnership opportunities with organizations and networks
Not all of these are available for each FPG.
The reality
1.9 Billion

people live in communities where the gospel has barely reached

Why adoption matters.

These are Frontier People Groups. They have almost no believers, likely no churches, and often have little access to Scripture in their language.

Some of these groups have organizations and networks working among them. Many are still waiting.

When you adopt a Frontier People Group:
You pray for them consistently. You explore ways to support the work.
This platform exists
to close the gap between people who want to help and teams doing the work.
The framework

The five movements of adoption.

The Adoption Process is summarized with the acrostic ADOPT.

A
Awaken
Awaken to the reality of Frontier People Groups (FPGs) and why they are the highest priority in missions.
D
Decide
Decide to adopt one or more Frontier People Groups.
O
Orient
Orient yourself to the world of your adopted Frontier People Group to understand who they are, what they believe, and what their lives are like.
P
Pray
Pray consistently and strategically for open doors, gospel laborers, and spiritual breakthroughs among your adopted group.
T
Team Up & Take Action
Team Up with those who will help fill the gaps for effective evangelism and church planting to take place among this FPG. Take Action by clarifying your role and specific action steps.
From application to adoption

Four steps. About fifteen minutes. Then we walk with you.

STEP 01

Choose Your People Group.

Select which Frontier People Group(s) you want to adopt. Let us know who you have adopted so we can assist in the process.

STEP 02

We Check for Active Work.

If an organization or network works among your group and you want to connect, we inform them of your adoption. If organizations or networks are not available to provide prayer requests consistently or you prefer to pray or work independently, you will receive general prayer resources.

STEP 03

Stay Informed.

You receive updates about your adopted people group. Learn about current needs, barriers to gospel, and progress being made. See when others have adopted the same group.

STEP 04

Partnerships Begin.

When we make a match with an organization or network, they contact you directly. You work together from there. We step back and let the relationship develop naturally.

What makes this different

You're not adopting alone.

Direct Connections

We don't create another layer between you and the mission work. We make the connection, then step aside. Organizations and networks contact you directly with updates, needs, and opportunities.

Multiplied Support

Multiple adopters support each group. Other individuals, small groups, churches, organizations, and networks can adopt the same Frontier People Group. Together, this creates sustained prayer and support.

Flexible Involvement

You decide your level of involvement. Some adopters pray alone. Others combine prayer with funding, direct engagement, or other support alongside organizations and networks.

Why accountability matters

What adopters commit to.

Adopters sign a simple Memorandum of Understanding — a voluntary agreement that keeps the network healthy, secure, and accountable.

  1. 01Commit to pray regularly
  2. 02Stay informed about the people group
  3. 03Track progress over time
  4. 04Explore partnership opportunities
  5. 05Unite your prayers with others

The Goal

Every Frontier People Group has multiple adopters praying for them. Mission teams working among frontier peoples have the prayer support, funding, and workers they need.
