Adopt a Frontier People Group

Join the effort to reach them through prayer and partnership

What This Is About

People Group Adoption connects you with the mission work happening among frontier people groups.

This is more than signing up to pray for a few months. It's a sustained commitment to see real progress toward gospel access among Frontier People Groups.

Your adoption includes:

Information about barriers to reaching them
Progress reports from teams working on the ground (when available)
Prayer guidance based on current needs
Partnership opportunities with sending organizations

Not all of these are available for each FPG, but as they do, we'll provide updates.

1.9 Billion people live in communities where the gospel has barely reached

The Reality

These are frontier people groups. They have almost no believers, likely no churches, or access to Scripture in their language.

Some of these groups have sending organizations working among them. Many are still waiting.

When you adopt a frontier people group: You pray for them consistently. You explore ways to support the work (if sending organizations are present).
This platform exists to close the gap between people who want to help and teams doing the work.

The ADOPT Framework

The Adoption Process is summarized with the acrostic ADOPT.

A

Awaken

Awaken to the reality of Frontier People Groups (FPGs) and why they are the highest priority in missions.

D

Decide

Decide on a Frontier People Group to adopt as a family, small group, or church, or decide on multiple FPGs to adopt as a larger network or mission organization.

O

Orient

Orient yourself to the world of your adopted Frontier People Group to understand who they are, what they believe, and what their lives are like.

P

Pray

Pray consistently and strategically for open doors, gospel laborers, and spiritual breakthroughs among your adopted group.

T

Team Up & Take Action

Team Up with those who will help fill the gaps for effective evangelism and church planting to take place among this FPG. Take Action by clarifying your role and specific action steps.

How It Works

Choose Your People Group. Select which frontier people group you want to reach. Let us know who you have adopted so we can assist in the process, as well as see where adopters may partner together.

We Check for Active Work. If a sending organization works among your group and you want to connect, we inform the mission team. If no sending organization exists yet or you prefer to pray independently, you receive prayer resources.

Stay Informed. You receive updates about your adopted people group. Learn about current needs, barriers to gospel access, and progress being made. See when others have adopted the same group.

Partnerships Begin. When we make a match with a sending organization, they contact you directly. You work together from there. We step back and let the relationship develop naturally.

Explore People Groups

Filter by country or religion, then choose a people group to see their location and profile on the map.

Choose a people group from the filters above or click a marker on the map to view their profile.

What Makes This Different

Direct Connections

We don't create another layer between you and the mission work. We make the connection, then step aside. Sending organizations contact you directly with updates, needs, and opportunities based on what's actually happening on the ground.

Multiplied Support

Multiple adopters support each group. You're not alone in this. Other churches, prayer groups, and denominations can adopt the same frontier people group. Together, this creates sustained prayer and support.

Flexible Involvement

You decide your level of involvement. Some adopters pray alone. Others combine prayer with funding, field work, or other support alongside sending organizations. Both approaches help reach the Frontier People Groups.

Why Accountability Matters

This isn't a feel-good initiative. It's a strategic effort to see gospel access reach every frontier people group.
