Introduction / History

The Enxet are a small people group within the Gran Chaco region of western Paraguay. Traditionally, they supported themselves through hunting and gathering.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Today, most Enxet have found work on cattle ranches. Because of their historical ties to the forest, the Enxet are in an ongoing conflict with both the Paraguayan government and ranchers regarding the usage of forested land. While the Enxet and Enlhet languages are still in use, original Enxet culture is fading.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Most Enxet dwell in missionary settlements. Information is limited regarding personal spiritual practices. Christianity is a dominant religion, but evangelicals are in the minority.

What Are Their Needs?

The Enxet need to put Christ first in their lives.

Prayer Points

Pray for the Enxet to learn biblical truth.
Ask that they be transformed by the renewing of their minds.
Pray for unity among believers and active discipleship that will transform their families into Christ’s likeness.
