Introduction / History

For many years the East Berawan people sent war parties to fight against neighboring peoples. They were successful enough that others had to be well prepared.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The East Berawan people love music. Their musical talents is well known in Malaysia.

What Are Their Beliefs?

In their traditional religion they held an elaborate funeral ceremony that had animistic overtones. They would store the corpse in a coffin or a large jar. For years they had different ceremonies to honor the deceased before burial.

Today they either retain their traditional religion or they are Christian.

What Are Their Needs?

Like all other peoples, the East Berawan people need to put their faith in Jesus Christ, and none other.

Pray for the Lord to thrust out workers to disciple the East Berawan people in the ways of Jesus Christ.

Pray for a spiritual hunger and a thirst for true righteousness that will lead them to the cross.
