Introduction / History

The Tatana is an indigenous people group in Borneo, Sabah, Indonesia.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Their culture is slowly disappearing. Though their language is still alive, it will take effort to make sure the younger generation still speaks it.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Tatana have their own indigenous beliefs, but they are influenced by Islam, Christianity and Chinese religious practices. They have a Christian population, but it is small.

What Are Their Needs?

The Tatana people need to put Jesus Christ first in their community. Hopefully, someone will introduce Jesus in a culturally appropriate and compelling manner.

Prayer Points

Pray for the Lord to raise up someone to take the gospel to them in a culturally appropriate way.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to draw the Tatana people of Malaysia to the Throne of Grace.
Pray for Tatana followers of Christ to disciple others to disciple others as well.
