Introduction / History

The Konai are also named Chasi Konai. They are a scheduled caste of West Bengal. The word chasi means cultivator. They speak, read and write in Bengali.

The Konai are not vegetarians and they eat rice as a cereal. Hinduism is the religion that they follow.

The Konai are landless. Agricultural laboring is their main work. They have a low literacy level so the gospel will need to be given in oral form too. Family planning is used by them.

Prayer Points

* Pray that Indian Christians will lead the Konai to Jesus Christ.
* Pray that gospel recordings will lead them to salvation.
