The Duma live in the Ogooue River region of Gabon. Their name, Duma, means “men of the river.” They have been famous for their boating skills. They go either by Duma or Aduma.
They grow many crops, especially fruits like mangos, bananas, orange, watermelon, coconut and cassava. They also make a palm wine that is attributed to hallucinations.
The Duma are also famous for their masks. They use these for funerals, general festivals and to mark the birth of twins.
They have a god of creation, but they also believe in spirits. The Duma are very fearful of sorcerers and members of secret societies.
The Duma people need better schools and hospitals.
Pray for the Lord to bless Duma crop yields as proof of his goodness and power. May they respond with praise!
Pray for Duma disciples to make more disciples.
Pray for Duma leaders to have dreams and visions that will lead them to the Lord.
