Introduction / History

The Bolano are a small people group on the north peninsula of Sulawesi Island. They are part of the Kaili-Tomini of Sulawesi people cluster within the Malay Peoples affinity bloc. They speak Boano, a language only spoken by the Bolano.

What Are Their Lives Like?

We know very little about the Bolano lifestyle. However, the peoples around them are agrarian, so we can probably surmise they are as well.

What Are Their Beliefs?

The Bolano practice Sunni Islam, likely mixed with some animistic beliefs and practices.
