The Baca live in the Savanna plains in the Bongo village. Bongo is part of the Bokito subdivision, Mbam division in the central province of Cameroon. The Baca are agriculturalists and sell their products to the local population. They have adequate water supply. One dispensary provides medical supplies in the village. Some schools have been started to educate the Baca children.
The Baca are very receptive to missionaries. They now have a Catholic church in the area, and the Assemblies of God has also planted a church there. The Scriptures are available to them in French and Ewondo, but not in the Nubaca language. No active literacy program currently exists.
