Trawing in Sudan

Introduction / History

The Trawing people group live in six small villages in the Nuba Mountains in the state of South Kordofan, Sudan. They are related to the Shatt tribe. They speak Sudanese Arabic. They are also known as Daldoko.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Growing sorghum, peanuts, sesame, and beans they also raise cattle, sheep, and goats for meat and milk. They draw their water from a borehole.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Though they are Muslim, the Trawing people still practice their ancient ethnic religion.

What Are Their Needs?

They have no schools.

Pray for loving and dedicated workers to go to the Trawing people.
Pray for the Lord to give their family leaders dreams and visions of the righteous and holy Christ.
Pray for the Lord to meet their needs and for them to be grateful to him.
