The Tata people group live in four large villages among the remote Nuba Mountains in the state of South Kordofan, Sudan. Their heart language is Tata and they also speak Sudanese Arabic.
They keep cows, sheep and goats for milk and meat and cultivate sorghum and corn for their daily consumption.
About two-thirds of the Tata people identify as Muslim. Others retain their traditional tribal religious practices.
The Tata people have no schools or health care facilities.
Pray for the Lord to bring a just and lasting peace to the Nuba Mountains of Sudan.
Pray for the Lord to provide for the needs of the Tata people.
Pray there will soon come a day when Tata Christ followers will disciple others.
