Introduction / History

The Sagolle people group is a large tribe farming and raising livestock in the remote Nuba Mountains in the state of South Kordofan, Sudan. Originally, they were thought to be just a clan of the Korongo tribe, but the survey team confirmed with the tribal paramount chief and elders that they are not a clan, but a tribe.

They cultivate sorghum and corn.

The Sagolle people identify themselves and Muslims, but they retain traditional religious practices as well.
