The Mhalo Nhavi Nai are a subgroup of the prominent Marathi people. They live in Maharashtra, the state named for the Marathi peoples. They speak either Goan Konkani or Marathi.
Though they have been barbers and hairdressers, this community is best known for their military skills. Many have been in India’s armed forces. They have made significant contributions to India’s culture.
They are solidly Hindu, yet they have their own traditions and rituals.
The Mhalo Nhavi Nai people need to be given the chance to hear the life-changing gospel so they can enjoy life to the full.
Pray for loving gospel workers to catch a vision for reaching the Mhalo Nhavi Nai people for Jesus and that in God's sovereign timing the hearts of these people would be open and ready to follow him.
Pray for Jesus movements to bless extended families so the gospel will spread rapidly.
Pray for the spiritual lives of the Mhalo Nhavi Nai people to become fruitful so others will be drawn to Jesus Christ.
