Lakha (Wylie: La-kha) literally "language of the mountain pass," a Southern Tibetan language spoken by about 8,000 people in Wangdue Phodrang and Trongsa Districts in central Bhutan. These people are descendants of pastoral yakherd communities and follow the Buddhist religion. There are virtually no Christian resources in their language. Being oral communicators, it is necessary to make audio recordings of the Gospel message for them in their own language. Pray that a field recordist from Global Recordings Network will be able to visit them and make this kind of recording.
