Introduction / History

Most of the Arwa Mala live in India's southeastern state of Tamil Nadu, so they speak Tamil at home.

What Are Their Lives Like?

These Hindus eat beef, pork and mutton, though their staples are rice and other grains.
The most common job for the Arwamala people is either selling bundles of wood or working on someone else's farm as a laborer. Many of their children are employed as cattle herders by the Reddy people.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Though they are obviously not good Hindus, they dutifully worship village and family deities. Some have embraced Christianity, but not enough to bring them out of the unreached category.

What Are Their Needs?

Like people everywhere, the Arwamala people need to allow the loving Savior to direct their lives. They need his forgiveness for sin.

Prayer Points

Pray the Arwamala would see they can enjoy abundant life if they put their trust in Jesus Christ.
Pray for the Lord to intervene in their families, calling people to his side and blessing them in every way.
Pray for loving workers.
Pray for their hearts to be drawn to the Lord of lords.
Pray for a church planting movement to thrive in their communities.
