Introduction / History

Throughout Latin America in early colonial days, it was common for Spanish men to marry indigenous women. Their children were called mestizos, and culturally they could be European, Indigenous, or somewhere in between. Other Europeans remained separate from the indigenous peoples. Today they might identify with Uruguay, Spain, or the country where they now reside. White Uruguayans live primarily in Uruguay, but also in Argentina, Mexico, the United States, or Spain.

What Are Their Lives Like?

White Uruguayans in Mexico blend in well with the Mexican population. They share a similar culture. Mexico has a much larger economy than Uruguay, so they come for jobs, preferably professional ones. White Uruguayans have succeeded in Mexico in acting, the arts, sports, and academics.

What Are Their Beliefs?

White Ecuadorians are usually Roman Catholic, but they also have a strong Evangelical minority.

What Are Their Needs?

They need revival fire to bless their churches, families, and neighborhoods.

Prayer Points

Pray for a Holy Spirit-led revival to bless White Ecuadorians leading them to a rich spiritual life in Christ.
Pray for them to become a powerful force for discipleship among those without the gospel throughout Latin America.
Pray for the Lord to bless them materially and spiritually as they obey Christ.
