Introduction / History

The Tajio people are primarily found in the central part of the island of Sulawesi in the Ampibabo, Tinombo, and Sindue subdistricts. The elevations there range from 0 to 900 meters. Most Tajio are farmers growing rice, copra, cocoa, and rattan. Their diet usually consists of rice and small fish. The area is accessible by generally good roads.
