Introduction

The Susu live mainly in the coastal areas of Guinea, Sierra Leone, Senegal and Mali. They tend to reside where there are many marshes and waterways. They often favor marriages between cousins and live in extended family groups. The Susu combine their Islamic faith with traditional beliefs. They believe that ghosts and spirits inhabit the same land, and that witches have the power to change into animals and cause harm to their villages.

Ministry Obstacles

The Susu are influenced by spiritual forces. They need to recognize and embrace the truth of Christ.

Outreach Ideas

Pray for the Followers of Christ

Pray for the Entire People Group

Pray for improved health care and good schools for the Susu.
Pray for parents to make schooling a priority for their children.
Pray that God would draw these people into the abundant life only Christ can offer.
Pray for Jesus to set them free from wicked spirits.
Pray the few followers of Jesus among the Susu would be quick to turn from sin and would live holy and righteous lives.
