Introduction / History

The kantosi people are not well known in Ghana, but they probably migrated from Niger, through Burkina Faso to their current location. Some believe they are some part of the Gur people. Some call them "yarisi" meaning people that dispersed from their original settlement.

What Are Their Lives Like?

They are mostly farmers and hunters, who are learning modern farming techniques. One of the largest thing they farm is watermelon.

Some are now progressing in academics.
