Introduction / History

The Basketo people have responded enthusiastically to the Gospel and are even beginning to send out their own missionaries to other ethnic groups. Three major evangelical denominations are represented in their area, with over 70 congregations. The New Testament translation into the Basketo language is finally complete. The Jesus film is available in their language. Challenges currently facing the Basketo include beginning a mother-tongue literacy program in preparation for the publication of Scripture portions.
