About a third of this small people group live on the western shore of Lake Abaya. The other two thirds live on the islands of Gidicho and Welege and use rafts of light wood to get to the main land. In the past they used to hunt hippos, now they fish, farm and weave. The Baiso intermarry with the Harro people.
