About a third of this small people group live on the western shore of Lake Abaya, and the other two-thirds live on the islands of Gidicho and Welege. They used to hunt hippos, but now they fish, farm, and weave.
To reach the mainland, they use rafts made of light wood. The Baiso intermarry with the Harro people.
The Baisos are highly Christianized and they are mostly Evangelical.
Baisos need to take Christ to the lost in other parts of Ethiopia.
Pray for Baiso workers to take Christ to Muslim peoples in Ethiopia.
Pray that soon hundreds of Baisos will be making disciples of others.
Pray for Baiso families to be blessed by a new work of the Holy Spirit.
