Introduction / History

There are very few people in this people group. Their language is endangered, meaning that most likely no one will be speaking it in 100 years. They are using other languages instead.

Where Are they Located?

The Masama Andio people live on one of the eastern peninsulas of Sulawesi, an Island in Indonesia.

What Are Their Lives Like?

The Masama Andio people are having to adjust to the languages and customs of the peoples around them. This must have an effect on their sense of self-worth.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Like most peoples in Indonesia, the Masama Andio people are Sunni Muslims who include aspects of pre-Islamic religion with their belief system. On a day to day basis, their faith is in the spirit world.

What Are Their Needs?

There are no Christian resources in their language, so pray that someone will show them the way to the cross using a language that touches their hearts.

Prayer Points

Pray for the Lord to raise up a strong disciple making movement to saturate the hearts and minds of the Masama Andio people of Indonesia.
Pray for God's blessing, strengthening and healing of Masama Andio families and communities through the abundant life Jesus offers to all who call on His name.
Pray for God's blessing on the leaders of the Masama Andio people, along with their families, and for their communities to welcome and enjoy God's blessing.
Pray for the Lord to multiply the reception and influence of His Word among the Masama Andio people, leading them to love Him with their whole being.
