Sagolle   sah-GO-lay

The Sagolle group is a large tribe farming and raising livestock in the remote Nuba Mountains in the state of South Kordofan, Sudan. Originally, they were thought to be a clan of the Korongo tribe; the survey team confirmed with the tribal paramount chief and elders that they are not a clan, but a tribe. They cultivate sorghum and corn. The Sagolle identify themselves as Muslims, but they retain traditional religious practices, as well. They have no known schools or healthcare facilities.

Ministry Obstacles

Imagine living among people with no Christians. None of your neighbors is Christian. How will you hear of Christ's saving grace? The significant remoteness of the Sagolle impacts their ability to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pray for the Sagolle to seek and find the only Savior, Jesus Christ. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give them the desire to seek the truth regardless of the cost. Pray for compassionate and dedicated workers to serve among the Sagolle. Pray for Sagolle leaders to have dreams of the risen Christ and share those dreams with others.
