Emirati Arab in United Arab Emirates

The Arabian Peninsula is the home of the Emirati Arabs. Traditionally they were nomads and villagers who lived in the harsh desert environment in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Their main diet consisted of goat's milk, yogurt or rice covered with ghee. When in desert oases, they add dates as a dessert, and they only eat meat on special occasions. Their housing was usually a portable goat hair tent. Some Emiratis still live like this, but most are urban. The oil industry has enriched their nation.

Ministry Obstacles

Emirate Muslims have a strong bias against the validity of Christianity.

Outreach Ideas

Many foreigners live and work in the UAE. They can take Christ to those facing a Christ-less eternity.

Scripture Focus

"May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence."  2 Peter 1:2-3

Scripture Prayer

Make this your prayer for today’s people group.

Prayer Focus

Pray for the few Emirati believers to shine their Holy Spirit light among the Muslims. Pray for Christ followers in the Arabian Peninsula to adopt and pray for the Gulf Arab nomads. Pray for the Holy Spirit to send dreams and visions to the Gulf Arabs that would awaken a hunger and thirst for the real truth when they hear about Jesus Christ. Pray for a people movement to Christ during this decade.
