The Madurese Bawean are Sunni Muslim. Because their goal is to earn enough to support family in Indonesia, they probably work long hours. This would prevent them from having time to develop meaningful relationships with local believers.

Outreach Ideas

Christian families who hire the Bawean as domestic help can share the gospel with them, especially in their times of loneliness and homesickness. These difficulties can soften their hearts to the love and warmth that Christians show them. Christian employers can also share gospel materials with them.
