Tai Khang

Tai Khang

The Tai Khang live in a land of palm trees, banana trees, and bamboo, which grow in abundance in forests inhabited by animals such as elephants, tigers, leopards, bears, monkeys, and peacocks. They experience many economic, physical, and spiritual needs. Most grow rice as their primary crop, along with tea, cotton, sugarcane, tobacco, coffee, pineapples, and mangoes. They use traditional hand tools, such as wooden hoes and sickles, to plow, plant, weed, and harvest.

Ministry Obstacles

Many of them follow folk religions. They add elements of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism to their spiritual beliefs in hopes of maintaining spiritual harmony.

Scripture Focus

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."  Genesis 1:27

Scripture Prayer

Pray that this people group will realize that they were meant to be in God’s image, and they need to change their ways to get back to Him.

Prayer Focus

Pray that the Holy Spirit will free the Tai Khang from fear through deliverance and new life in Jesus Christ. Pray that laborers, led by the Spirit, will share Christ's love with the Khang people. Pray for a Khang Bible translation, audio resources, and the JESUS Film to become widely available throughout Tai Khang communities. Pray that God will save key leaders who will boldly declare the gospel, leading to a healthy and growing church for the glory of his name.
