Liujiang Zhuang in China
loo-CHAHNG zhoo-AHNG

China's Guangxi Province is made up mostly of people from the Zhuang people groups. They live similar lives and each subgroup, including the Liujiang, is unreached with the gospel.

Ministry Obstacles
The Zhuang are careful not to offend the spirit world that surrounds them. They believe in the spirits of the water, forest, mountain, village, etc. Fear of retaliation might be one of the reasons why they remain unreached.

Outreach Ideas
On the other hand, people with traditional religion are often the first to embrace Christ once they know that he can overcome all opposition of the spirit world. Han Chinese believers can also take Christ to their Zhuang neighbors.

Scripture Focus
"But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob."  Psalm 75:9

Scripture Prayer
Pray for many from today’s people group to tell of God’ wondrous deeds to their families.

Prayer Focus
There are a small number of Liujiang Zhuang people who bow their knees to Jesus Christ rather than local spirits. Pray that they would demonstrate Christ's victory over the spirit world and win others to him in the process. Pray for Christ to show himself, powerful and righteous before the Liujiang Zhuang people. Pray for a movement to Christ that will bless all Zhuang peoples in China.
