Arabic-speaking Algerian in Algeria
al-JEER-ee-un
Algeria’s form of Arabic borrows several words from the earlier Berbers. The Berbers dominated Northern Africa before being displaced by Arab invasions in the seventh century. Today, virtually all tribes are Sunni Muslim with Islam having been adapted to their local traditions and culture.
Ministry Obstacles As Muslims, the Arabic-speaking Algerians believe that they must please Allah by obeying the right laws. They reject the idea of looking to a sin-free savior.
Scripture Focus "Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen" Jude 1:24-25
Scripture Prayer Make this your prayer for today’s people group.

Pray that Algerian Arab believers would grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus and the Bible.
