Palestinian Arab in West Bank / Gaza

Palestinians are traditionally hospitable and prepare elaborate dinners for their guests, regardless of their economic situation. Palestinians are predominantly adherents of Sunni Islam with a minority Christian community. The Holy Land, birthplace of Jesus Christ is also the birthplace of the Palestinian Church.

Ministry Obstacles
Turmoil in Israel and the West Bank / Gaza makes Christian witness to the Palestinians challenging, but turmoil sometimes makes people more open to change.

Outreach Ideas
Christians need to be concerned about the plight of the Palestinians, offering constructive ways for them to flourish. Christ died for the Palestinians, as well as for others.

Scripture Focus
"Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst."  John 6:35

Scripture Prayer
Pray that this people group hungers for God and begins to feed spiritually on the Bread of life, Jesus Christ.

Prayer Focus
Pray the Palestinians who know God would become wise in sowing the Word of God among their families and multiplying the blessings of God to other Palestinian households. Palestinian Arabs have had a strong Christian presence for generations, but most are nominal. Pray for a Christ-centered revival. Pray for the Palestinians in both Israel and the West Bank / Gaza to increasingly experience peace, with political stability and improving economic conditions. Pray for a movement to Christ that will transform Palestinian society, bringing them economic and spiritual prosperity.
