Kazakh in Kazakhstan
KAH-zahk

Kazakh people are descendants of Turkic tribes, Mongol groups and Indo-Iranian tribes, which populated the vast territory between Siberia and the Black Sea. Because of their nomadic pastoral lifestyle, Kazakhs kept an epic tradition of oral history. They had to develop phenomenal memories in order to keep an account of their history. The Kazakh nation, which amalgamated nomadic tribes of various Kazakh origins, preserved the distant memory of the original founding clans.

Ministry Obstacles
Kazakh people have a long history of identifying with the Islamic religion. They do not understand that the one true Savior is the only one who can provide payment for the penalty of their sins.

Outreach Ideas
Believers with the right skills can go to Kazakhstan and help them with their infrastructure needs. There is always a need for skilled medical personnel.

Scripture Focus
"Then the LORD put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the LORD said to me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth. See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant."  Jeremiah 1:9-10

Scripture Prayer
Pray for Christ’s ambassadors to be careful to speak only what God tells them to say when they go to the nations.

Prayer Focus
Pray for the Holy Spirit to nurture a movement to Christ and cause church plants that will begin with leaders and influence entire families. Pray for the Lord to provide Kazakhstan abundant rain as a testimony of his goodness and power.
