Fulbe in Guinea
FOOL-bay

The Fulbe are a large people group located in the western African nations of Guinea, Sierra Leone and Senegal. A small population resides in Guinea Bissau. The culture and heritage of the group is nearly the same in all four countries. Their livelihood is primarily based on farming and shepherding. Although Fulbe villages are scattered, each village has a central court and a mosque. Islamic schools are set up for the children in some of the villages.

Ministry Obstacles
The Fulbe are a very large people group, and many workers are needed to saturate the group with the good news of Jesus.

Outreach Ideas
There are quite a number of followers of Christ in other tribes in Guinea. Pray that some would be given the desire and opportunity to reach the Fulbe.

Scripture Focus
"The LORD is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works."  Psalm 145:17

Scripture Prayer
Pray that many will soon thank the Lord for His righteousness and kindness.

Prayer Focus
Pray for those who know and follow Jesus among the Fulbe. Pray they would be obedient to Christ and would live holy lives. Pray they would learn to live in the power of Christ's Spirit, demonstrating the fruit of his Spirit. Pray the Fulbe people would increasingly be drawn to Jesus (whom Muslims call Isa al-Masih) as they study the Koran. Pray they would have a desire to learn more about him, and that he would reveal himself to them.
