Sumra Sindhi in Pakistan
SOOM-rah SIN-dee

Traditionally, Sumra Sindhi people were warriors, but at present they are involved in business, agriculture, government and private service.

Ministry Obstacles
The Sumra belong to the Sunni Muslim sect. Their lives are governed and restricted in every way by their religion, which is based on fear and good works. Theirs is a closed culture where outside ideas are not welcome.

Outreach Ideas
Sumra Sindhi people are family-oriented people. Families who serve the one true God who created all things have much in common with them although they do not know it. This is a place to begin building relationships.

Scripture Focus
"From your lofty abode you water the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work. You cause the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food from the earth"  Psalm 104:13-14

Scripture Prayer
Pray for this people group to be amazed at His abundant blessings!

Prayer Focus
Pray that Christian businessmen, agriculturalists and government employees would reach into the lives of Sumra Sindhi people, building relationships and sharing Christ's abundant life with them. Pray that almighty God would open the hearts of Sumra Sindhi people to hear the good news that full payment of the penalty of sins has been made and is available to be received by whosoever will accept it.
