Dar Daju in Chad

The Dar Daju are mostly subsistence farmers. The women of the village speak Daju, while the men almost solely use Dar Daju. The literacy rates are low. Members of the Dar Daju group typically marry within their own ethnic group, but those who have migrated to larger towns sometimes intermarry with other ethnic groups.

Ministry Obstacles
In northern Africa, Muslims remain Muslim for life. Islam is a social and religious expectation. Community pressure to conform is intense. Leaving Islam or even seeking spiritual answers outside of the religion is a source of shame for their families.

Scripture Focus
"So that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."  2 Thessalonians 1:12

Scripture Prayer
Make this your prayer for today’s people group.

Prayer Focus
Pray that the Dar Daju will have a spiritual hunger and open their hearts to receive the King of kings. Pray for the Lord to send workers to the Dar Daju who will faithfully and boldly declare the gospel. Pray for the Holy Spirit to ignite a movement to Christ among the Dar Daju.
