Razu in India
RAH-zoo

The Razu are a landowning caste. They claim to be descendants of Rajput princes and army officers who served the various empires and dynasties of North India. The Razu received land for their military service. The Razu work as business owners and government administrators in law enforcement and as members of the Indian Armed Forces. They also own tracts of land that are frequently cultivated by lower castes. Rajput parents encourage their sons and daughters to graduate from universities and to enter into good paying professions.

Ministry Obstacles
High status is a barrier to the gospel in India. Most Christians are from modest backgrounds, and Hindus do not want to be a part of a lower social group.

Scripture Focus
"The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone."  Isaiah 9:2

Scripture Prayer
Pray for God’s light to shine brightly among this people.

Prayer Focus
Pray that the Lord humbles the Razu and they see their need for a savior. Pray that the Lord will start a movement of Razu families experiencing God's blessings. Pray for workers to sow God's word into Razu families, healing and strengthening households with God's blessings.
